FAQ

Questions, answered directly.

Everything below is a question we have genuinely been asked, answered in full rather than deflected to a sales call. If yours is not here, email contact@luiinteractive.com and we will answer it, and probably add it to this page.

General

Do I own my website?

Yes. On the Own It and Managed plans the site is yours outright on final payment, including the code repository, the hosting account and the domain configuration. On All-Inclusive you can buy the site out from year one. You always register and own your own domain, whichever plan you choose.

Can I edit the website myself after launch?

Yes. Every build includes a content management system, so you can change text, replace images and publish new pages from your browser without writing code or paying us. Structural changes, new page types and new features are separate work, either at our standard rates or within your monthly hours on a care plan.

Where do you operate?

LUI Interactive works with clients worldwide. We are remote-first, with pricing published in pounds, euros and dollars, and discovery and strategy calls scheduled around your timezone rather than ours. The entire process, from proposal to handover, runs remotely, so your location makes no difference to what we can do or what it costs. The business is registered in the United Kingdom.

What is the free visibility audit?

A written review of how search engines and AI assistants currently see your website: whether AI crawlers can reach it, whether your content is machine-readable, what structured data you have, and how the site performs on speed and Core Web Vitals. It is free, takes a couple of working days, and comes with no obligation to buy anything.

Pricing

How much does a website cost?

A custom website from LUI Interactive starts at £2,200 (€2,550 / $2,950) to own outright, or £190 (€225 / $260) per month on an all-inclusive plan with no large upfront cost. A managed option sits between the two at £1,800 (€2,100 / $2,400) plus £50 (€60 / $70) per month. Every plan includes design, build, a content management system, technical SEO and AEO, and analytics setup.

Why do you publish your prices when most agencies do not?

Because hiding them wastes everyone’s time. Published prices let you decide in thirty seconds whether we are in your range, instead of after two calls. It also happens to be what we advise clients to do: concrete figures are the kind of fact search engines and AI assistants can actually cite, and "contact us for a quote" gives them nothing to work with.

What is not included in the published prices?

Standard projects cover up to six pages, two rounds of design revisions, and standard integrations such as forms and maps. E-commerce, booking or membership systems, multilingual sites, custom CRM integrations, large content migrations, copywriting from scratch, and photography are quoted separately. If your project needs any of those, we scope it in the discovery session and give you a fixed written price before work starts.

Process

How long does a website take to build?

A standard site goes live within 30 working days of the discovery session on the Own It and Managed plans, or within 21 working days on All-Inclusive, where we guarantee it: if we miss that date, your next month is free. The main variable is how quickly content and feedback come back from your side.

What happens in the discovery session?

We go through what your business does, who buys from you, what the site needs to achieve, and what already exists that we can use. It usually takes about an hour. You leave it with a written proposal setting out scope, timeline and a fixed price, and there is no obligation to continue.

What technology do you build with?

Static, pre-rendered sites deployed to Cloudflare’s global edge network, with a browser-based content management system. There is no WordPress to keep patched, no plugins to break on update, and no monthly platform licence. The result is a site that loads in well under a second anywhere in the world and has a very small security surface.

SEO and AEO

What is Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO)?

Answer Engine Optimisation is the practice of structuring a website so AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot can read, understand and cite it when answering a question. Where traditional SEO competes for a position in a list of links, AEO competes to be named inside the answer itself.

How is AEO different from SEO?

SEO earns you a ranking in a list of results that a person then chooses from. AEO earns you a mention in a written answer where there is no list to scroll, and usually only two or three businesses are named. The two overlap, because a well-optimised site is easier to cite, but ranking well in Google does not guarantee an AI will quote you. Being quotable is a separate property of a page.

Still have a question?

Ask it directly. We answer honestly, including when the answer is that you do not need what we sell.
